The 14th EAMHID congress entitled “Best Practices – Better Life” will take place from 21st to 23rd of September 2023 at The Clarion Hotel in Helsinki, Finland.

We are pleased to invite you to the 14th EAMHID Congress in Helsinki, Finland. The congress will be organized by Specialised Services for Disabled of Varha and FAIDD, both organisations working for better life for the persons with learning difficulties.

Our congress’ theme is “Best Practices – Better Life” and as before the congress will provide numerous possibilities both scientists, practitioners, and persons with disabilities with their families to encounter and discuss. Our purpose is to introduce new scientific findings and evidencebased methods but also best-practices to improve mental health and life of these vulnerable group. The congress will offer different symposium, workshops, roundtable discussions and many keynote lectures and our aim is to promote multiprofessional work. Part of the programme will be streamed so you can also attend online.

The EAMHID congress is held at The Clarion Hotel in Helsinki. The hotel is located in the new Jätkäsaari district in the central West Harbour area. The city centre is just a short walk away, and it is easy and convenient to travel by public transportation.

As a 78 metres high building, The Clarion Hotel is an impressive landmark. The vantage point at the top offers an impressive view over the city. The hotel serves as a great venue for the 14th congress of EAMHID.
